***A day of rest! It was Saturday and we had no shoots scheduled. Our only item on the agenda was dinner with Nina Hartley and Ernest Greene!! We spent a wonderful day doing very little - working out, seeing a movie - “On- Bak II, The Beginning…” and just spending quality time together.
Dinner with Nina and Ernest is always fun, as we seem to talk and talk and talk. The hours pass like minutes. I know I said this in a previous post, but it is not easy to find people with whom we can converse on so many different subjects. Nina made dinner (again spoiling us!) using a new type of chicken roaster Ernest got her. Delicious!!
K & Ernest ended up bending each others ears for the majority of the evening while Nina and I stay engrossed in conversations about professional sex work and its myriad facets, definitions and delineations, and it’s legal and societal perceptions. Before we knew it, midnight struck and it was time for us to leave.

It's difficult to sit here and try to concentrate, with the noises that are coming from the other room. Maybe that'll change as the years go by and our budget gets bigger. If money weren't a concern we'd have probably tried all kinds of things by now!

It's been a few days since either of us put up a post, and that usually means we are traveling. We took off three days ago and drove from our Central Oregon home to Seattle, Washington, so that MY LOVE/Catherine de Sade could do some modeling. This time, I think the only big company she's shooting for is Naked Gord, but I'm not certain yet.
We've been staying near Capitol Hill, in a joke of a four-star hotel. I've spent the night in the equivalent of a one-star motel before, and still been able to get free internet in my room, but this place wanted ten dollars for every twenty-four hour period. I mean, you can get free Wi-fi by just going into a coffee shop around here, so I don't see where they get off trying to get money for the service. I would expect a four-star establishment to provide that and more, but we're finding out that just isn't the case anymore. I don't know how some of the places we stay at are getting their stars, but it can't be from the amenities, so it must be from the ass-kissing staff. That means nothing to me when I have to go down to the lobby to get some coffee before a certain time of the day, or order it to my room afterwards and pay a ridiculous price. Coffee machines and small refrigerators should be in every hotel room. Those things should be standard. Living in these rooms is not comfortable or remotely convenient for us. It really kind of sucks.
So, we still have the rest of the California trip to tell you about, and that's coming up. There won't be much to tell you about when it comes to our time spent in Seattle, but there are a few things worth mentioning. Those will follow the California updates, once we get them all up. We are ready to call it good for the rest of the year and do our best to stay home. I know that we plan on spending a few brief days in Portland, in December, but the traveling has finally gotten to us and we are determined to stay put for a while. Maybe we'll get lucky and get snowed in for the holidays!

On Thursday, while MY LOVE/Catherine de Sade was shooting with Sybil Hawthorne, I had a little look around San Diego. I had a few hours to kill, and hadn’t yet had my first orgasm of the day, so I decided to check out the area and see if there were any adult establishments. We’d left our hotel on Sunset Boulevard, in Hollywood, at 8am, and made very good time on the way to San Diego. MY LOVE pretty much slept the entire way. Once we arrived, our focus was on getting breakfast and finding Sybil’s place. Trying to find an adult establishment using our Garmin/GPS was a joke. It has an “entertainment” category but I wasn’t surprised to find that there aren’t many “adult entertainment” entries. When I stopped for gas I picked up a local weekly paper and that’s where I found an advertisement for a store that was only a few miles away. Punching the address into the Garmin, I followed the directions and wound up at the Barnett Avenue Adult Superstore.
As porn shops go, it was what I expected. This time of year, in addition to all the normal stuff, they had a ton of costumes for Halloween. You know, the kind of costumes you can barely wear out of the house. They had video booths/a viewing area, but there were no glory holes. They also had a few live dancers hanging out in their designated space but I was uninterested in that. When I passed a door that said “Adult Theatre” I had to ask about it. Inside they had two rooms, each with two movies playing on a total of four screens. Two of the movies were straight, one was gay and one had a transvestite in it. The seats looked like leather and they resembled recliners. Very comfy. In the darkness I could see several men sitting, watching the action on the screens. None of them looked at me for more than a couple of seconds, and there were no women present.
When you use a viewing booth you get privacy, but you also have to spend a lot of money if you want to stay in there for very long. I don’t know what the standard is in California, but you could barely get four minutes of viewing for a dollar when I worked at the porn shops in Oregon. I doubt that’s gotten any better, but I could be wrong. So for the price of admission to the theatre - $10 – I could maybe spend 30 or 40 minutes in a private viewing booth flipping through the channels and jerking off, or I could go where there were other people, and no restrictions on my time, and jerk off. I chose the ladder because, frankly, it was more interesting.
The clerk told me that an Asian woman came in pretty regularly, on Thursdays, and that she was the kind of woman that took just about everybody on. I don’t how long I spent in the theatre, planted in my seat with my cock in my hand, but I did hold a small bit of hope that this lady would show up before I was done. Even if I didn’t get to participate, just seeing some action happen would have been wonderful. It feels like it’s been so long…
I did nothing else memorable that day. Walked around downtown San Diego waiting for MY LOVE to get finished pretty much. I think I had something to eat and something to drink. Did I mention I walked around a lot?
