fill you
This is technically the first song I ever wrote. Not only do I have lyrics, I can play this on the guitar. Not well, but I can play it. This was written while I was in prison, and it may sound like it’s for someone in particular but I have to say I don’t recall whom, if that’s the case. Maybe it was to myself. I certainly spent a lot of time with suicidal thoughts and desires.

fill you

This time there’s no mistaking
that desperate look in your eyes
Is it your life you’re thinking of taking?

What can I do?

It’s clear your resistance is breaking
Is it this life you’ve come to despise?
This decision you’re thinking of making

Will it help you?

Another day with me, will you stay with me
And try?
If you stay with me I promise you will be
Fine
And if things don’t work out, you can still get out
Get free
But you’ll never make it out of this act you’re thinking about
Please

Reconsider it

This time there’s no escaping
the love for you that I feel inside
This hole in your heart that is gaping

What can I do…

… to fill you?
