Lew Rubens had some very valuable things stolen from him and we hope you are here reading this because you love and admire the man as much as we do, and want to help him out. Please read on:
“On July 1st 2010, Lew Rubens, known around the world for his amazing bondage and suspensions, gave his first ever Art Exhibit in Portland, Oregon. It was a huge success.
Lew was scheduled to leave bright and early the next morning to begin “Trailer Trash Tour IV”. After leaving his going away party, Lew returned to find his vehicle had been broken into. His entire bag of bondage ropes had been stolen, along with his large portfolio of photos, documenting his years of professional experience.
This is our chance to show Lew how much we appreciate the positive impact he has had in the BDSM community. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to be tied by Lew, if you’ve ever learned a useful tie from one of his workshops, or if you just enjoy seeing Lew’s work, this is your chance to give a little something back!

Here are the specifics:
Renaissance Rope in Portland Oregon will be custom dying and creating 600 ft of rope especially for Lew Rubens.
Stuart (aka Pdxropedom on Fetlife) has graciously offered up the first $200 towards the cost of making the rope.
This is an amazing offer and it only leaves us to raise $400 between like 40,000 of us!
If we can reach this goal by the end of July, we might be able to have Lew’s new rope in his evil grip by mid August, just in time for the Lewbari Weekend in Sonoma!
We would also like to help Lew get his portfolio rebuilt. The high quality color prints will most likely come to about $300. Any funds over and above the $400 mark will be used towards recreating that portfolio.

I want to say, right now, that what you see written above was put together by a very special friend of Lew's. What you see below comes from me, and me only.
I’ve looked at Lew’s profile on FetLife. He has, at this moment, 1570 “friends”. If only a third of those “friends” would take the time to donate the paltry sum of $2.00 the man we all call friend would have more than enough money to get new rope, replenish his entire portfolio and have it all shipped to him, with a little left over. Who among you, reading this right now, cannot afford $2.00? Seriously. And think of what would happen if some of us decided not to have that cup of ridiculously over-priced coffee today and sent that off to Lew. Do you have it in you to do this simple thing for a man who really deserves it?
That’s all me folks. Lew Rubens isnt’ saying it, and neither is Lew's special friend. I am. Call it a guilt trip or call it a challenge, as long as we get this taken care of I don’t care how you feel about me. Please take a moment and lend a hand.

One of the shoots MY LOVE did a few days ago, while she was in L.A., involved the gorgeous Venus De Mila. The three photos you see below were taken by our photographer friend Smudger, who now goes by Liquiderotica. When he gets his site up we will definitely be letting all of you know about it.
According to MY LOVE, it was a very sexy shoot. She said, and I quote: “You would have spent a lot of time with your cock in your hand.” If these first three pictures are any indication I have no doubt she is correct. Liquiderotica is definitely a meticulous and talented photographer so we will be sharing any new stuff with you as we get it. Believe that!
I missed an opportunity to see Liquiderotica again, but as I’ve stated before we hope to BOTH be back in California soon, working on some sort of adult gig and then I will get to see him. I also missed the chance to meet Venus De Mila, and apparently Nina Hartley and Earnest Greene have spoken enough about me that she was actually anticipating meeting me. Another reason to be grumpy about not making the trip with MY LOVE this time around. Aaargh! We WILL be back and I WILL get to see both of these wonderful people soon I hope.

MY LOVE just got done with her live interview on the Rev Mel show. It was a great two hours and I am now doubly sad that I didn’t get to be on the program with her tonight. After the first hour was up I did manage to call in and chat with them for a while. Rev Mel and all the watchers in the Chat room were very friendly. They showed a ton of pictures of MY LOVE, and quite a few of the two of us, then played the promo DVD I made in it’s entirety.
Doing an interview is nothing new to MY LOVE, and watching her tonight I see that she’s gotten very good at expressing herself. Very articulate and honest. It’s clear she is an intelligent, level headed woman and not some broken person who doesn’t even know why they are the way they are. I know this woman – know about her past, what brought her to BDSM, what makes her tick – but it’s still amazing to just sit and listen to her talk. I am in awe of her ability sometimes. And coming from a woman, I think her words hold more value to most people than they would if they came from me.
We plan on returning to California to work, so I’m sure I’ll get my chance to join MY LOVE on the Rev Mel show soon. What a fun, open and charismatic lady she is. Can’t wait for the opportunity. I want to say “Thank you” to her for talking to me for so long on the telephone, and for playing the DVD. Hope everyone that tuned in liked the show!

I made a little ten minute DVD for MY LOVE to take with her that shows a few of our favorite or most popular moments, two preview clips, and even a nice, romantic couple minutes at the end that I’m hoping they’ll play for everyone. I definitely plan on calling up and trying to spend a few moments on the air with her/them at least. It is such bullshit that I can’t be there with her – I was invited but as you know I didn’t go to Los Angeles with MY LOVE this time so I’m not going to be on the show – but hopefully there will be another chance in the future. It’s bad enough being without MY GIRL, and missing her terribly, but not being on this show is like salt in the wound. Grrrr!

I dropped MY LOVE off at the airport today so she could fly to Los Angeles for three to six days of adult work. She was supposed to shoot with West Coast Gang Bangs again but they are trying to cancel at the last minute because their camera guy is not available. Now this is not art, it is pornography, and just about any idiot can operate a video camera so I’m calling bullshit on this pathetic excuse. Because theirs was one of the highest paying gigs, it is the main reason six days of shooting might wind up being three. Nobody is paying travel or lodging expenses so just getting to California MY LOVE was already in the hole, and relying on every gig she booked. I’m not saying people can’t cancel, but come up with a better fucking excuse at least!
I just got done talking to her on Skype, which means we got to see each other as well. She’s took the laptop with her and I hope we get to do this every day, at least once. It’s so much better than the phone. Dropping her off at the airport earlier was very difficult. Yes, we are going on four years together and both of us still get sad and panicky when we know we’re going to be apart for a few days. It’s sweet, wonderful, sad, sick and beautifully pathetic. We sure as hell don’t like feeling this way but we are ever so thankful that we do. The alternative is unthinkable. I don’t look forward to the day that I look forward to some time away from the love of my life. I honestly hope that never happens.
MY LOVE is shooting for/with various people and I will let you know about that tomorrow. I will also be putting up information about a four-hour talk show that she will be on Monday evening, so come back tomorrow and take a look before you miss it.
