I have a word document that sits on my computer called UPDATES. Basically, it’s where I compose the majority of my blog posts, so there are a lot of unfinished rants, descriptions of sexual depravity and admissions of guilt there. Often, when I decide to answer e-mail with more than a few sentences, I will open the UPDATES document and compose my letter/response there before I send it. When I’m done, I usually erase what I’ve written so the whole thing doesn’t end up one huge mess. Sometimes though, I forget to hit the delete button, and a few days later I’ll open it up and find something like this:
“You want advice? I’ll give you advice –“
Was there more after the “ – “ or was that as far as I got? I certainly don’t remember. It sure doesn’t sound like a blog post though, does it? I was either angry or getting ready to mess with someone – I don’t recall. I sure hope I gave some good advice…

Have you ever tried to place an ad on Craigslist? How about one under the “Adult Gigs” category? This is a place where adults are supposed to be able to put up ads seeking professional but legal adult services from other adults. Mostly it’s web-cam and XXX movie stuff, and both of those things are 100% legal. You’d expect some of the language for these ads to be graphic – they are for sex work after all.
I tried to place an ad in the “Adult Gigs” area of Craigslist recently and ran into an interesting problem. The following words were not allowed in the ad:
Shooting
Oral
Mouth
Lips
Head
Handjob
Blowjob
Meat
Raw
Load
Now I can understand Handjob and Blowjob, but what if you are looking for women to just do Blowjob scenes? Look at the list above. You can’t say you want to shoot an “Oral” scene. You can’t say a woman only has to use her “Mouth” or that she’ll be putting something between her “Lips”. You certainly can’t tell her she’s going to be giving “Head”. You can use BJ and HJ for Blowjob and Handjob, or you can substitute letters with other letters or symbols (c0ck instead of cock) and hope people know what the hell you’re talking about, but anything else will get your ad refused. My first attempt to place an ad was massively frustrating.
And I’m sure I haven’t hit on all of the words that aren’t allowed. There have to be some pretty flagrant ones I didn’t happen upon by accident. Guess I’m going to have to go back to that section and read some the ads that are posted, just out of curiosity. I wonder what other people are trying to get away with?
